In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Knowledge and contemplation are the corner stones of success. It is imperative to think about the beauty of the human creation that was made by Allah.
The primary focus of the Department of Restorative Dentistry is to preserve the natural tooth structure, made by the creator, through teaching concepts and principles of dental caries, its prevention, and modern management strategies. These principles are in accordance with state of the art evidence based knowledge and translate into the utilization of modern diagnostic techniques and conservative restorative modalities. This will facilitate into the graduation of dentists of exceptional quality and dedication.
In addition to teaching, the department does its role in community service by organizing community events that aim to increase the awareness of dental caries principles among the public while emphasizing the preventive modalities that will eventually translate into better quality of life. Further, events considering esthetic considerations are organized to educate the public about conservative esthetic techniques and choices. Also, multiple research-related activities are undergone in the department by highly qualified faculty members who conduct relevant research projects that aid in the development of innovative dental biomaterials as well as management protocols.
It’s a great privilege that the Restorative Department offers its contribution to the development of our beloved country while carrying a cherished name of King Abdulaziz University.
